These settings control IP routing features including the total amount of buffer space to allocate for routing packets and the maximum number of packets that can be routed simultaneously.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a DWORD value (or string value for Windows 98) called "RoutingBufSize" and set it equal the amount of buffer space to allocate for routing packets, the default is 73,216.

Create another DWORD value (or string value for Windows 98) called "RoutingPackets" and set it to equal the number of packets that can be routed simultaneously, the default is 50.

Restart Windows for the changes to take effect.

Note: These settings are ignored if EnableRouting = 0.
